The recent New York fashion week didn't introduce as many groundbreaking designs that may have been anticipated, leaving some fashion enthusiasts slightly underwhelmed. Despite the lack of innovation on the runway, it did provide an abundance of useful and practical styling tips that will undoubtedly aid in planning looks for next Spring. Here are some tips I picked up, along with some of my favorite runway looks.

A red shoe with a red sock. I love that.

A big red flower. Love.

A long black sheer dress. Love it.

Many sheer layers. Love.

Black and white. Classic.

Dress over pants. Yes. Obviously.

Another sheer dress. Love it.

Red stockings. Need.
